![]() ![]() I do like using the explorer preview window a lot, so I couldn't help but notice.) All in all, it's a poor mkv solution, especially in its current stage. And if you use the Explorer Preview Window feature in Win7, the resolution is actually off for mkv playback with the divx lab package, giving videos a slightly stretched look (but in WMP12 the resolution is fine. You will end up with a file without a cover. ![]() To the left of the file contents is a check box, uncheck the items which you don't want (in this case, the cover), change the output file name and click 'Start muxing'. those are simply from the divx labs, a package that is still in the beta stages, has known audio sync issues and has no subtitle support whatsoever. Open the file in MKVToolNIX, you should see a list of the contents, one of which should be the cover. And as to the MKV thumbnail support his pack provides. I loved his codec pack for XP and even Vista, but Windows 7 does not need so much. The corresponding command-line option will continue to be recognized by mkvmerge as not to break existing third-party applications, but it wont actually do anything. And for those who say Sharks codecs are perfect for Windows 7, I'd have to disagree. Other changes: mkvmerge, MKVToolNix GUI multiplexer: the functionality for changing the length of the NALU 'size' field for AVC/H.264 and HEVC/H.265 tracks has been removed. This is exactly what I was looking for, no unnecessary overkill for Windows 7 and proper, high quality thumbnails for mkv files, which for most HD enthusiasts, will be truly appreciated.
